Dr. Pankaj Mittal is the Secretary General, of the Association of Indian universities. The association consists of around 810 universities including 16-17 foreign universities dealing with the higher education system of our country. It consists of 3.7 crore students,15 lakh teachers,1000 universities and 40,000 colleges. Mrs. Mittal speaks of the NEP 2020 as a forward looking student centric democratic policy which has a lot of potential to transform India's higher education system for good. She also appreciates the shift towards using technology for learning keeping in mind the current scenario. She is overwhelmed by the initiative taken by FIP towards re-imagining the Delhi Book Fair and going virtual rather than canceling it, which on the positive side has made it an international affair from being confined to a national one.
